www.hotlantarugby.org developed by Winston (Gotham Knights, NYC) and Randy (Roughnecks, Houston) and became a catalyst for generating a buzz in Atlanta about rugby.
7/19/2003
First meeting of the Atlanta Gay Rugby Team was held. Considered an "unofficial gathering," it was the start of what would become the Atlanta Bucks. In attendance were future Atlanta Bucks: Kenji Matsuaka, Mike Cabeza, Lewis Stupak, Michael Udell, Mark E. Watson, Eddie Towson, Steve Vance, Kevin Sharpton, Miguel Miranda, John Alvarado.

Second meeting was held with special guests - Carly Harrington, Secretary, Georgia Rugby Union and President of the Atlanta Harlequins Womens Rugby Football Club and Carlos Carbini, Coach, Atlanta Harlequins Womens Rugby Football Club. Eddie Towson voted spokesperson.

Members vote to became the Atlanta Bucks Rugby Football Club with the official team colors of purple and black. Members also select the first Board of Directors, establish an interim Board until December 31, 2003.

Official club by-laws adpoted and the team logo was chosen.
10/16/2003
Team participates in its first scrimmage. High Country RFC agreed to hold the scrimmage offering a great opportunity to get a feel for a "real" game.
11/12/2003
The Atlanta Bucks Rugby Football Club, Incorporated became an offical business in the state of Georgia.
11/15/2003
Team members participate in their first tournament — the East Coast Inviational in New York City. This match allows the Bucks to gain membership into the International Gay Rugby Association and Board (IGRAB).
